Mohammad Tavakoli, an official with the Astan Quds Razavi, said Ayatollah Seyed Ahmad Alamolhoda, representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Khorasan Razavi province, will lead the prayers.

He noted that a Naqqareh Zani ceremony will also be held at the holy shrine on the auspicious occasion.

Naqqareh is a kind of drum with a rounded back and a hide head.

Playing Naqqareh is a ritual held at the holy mausoleum on festive occasions.

Eid al-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

In Iran, Eid al-Fitr is expected to fall on Monday if the crescent moon of the month of Shawwal is sighted on Sunday evening. Otherwise Eid will be celebrated on Tuesday.
